Embedded Google Map Wave
The ability to create such things a Google Map Wave is one of the coolest features of Google Wave so far. As the
introductory video demonstrated, it's easy to include a map inside a wave. This makes organizing and sort of meeting or event a snap. Of course it could be argued that the necessity to actually meet in person is becoming less since so much 'meeting' can be done online.
Within the wave the user simply highlight the destination within the wave, click on the red map pointer icon at the top of the wave.
The map gadget will open up inside the wave. There is a search field within the gadget so more places can be found and added to the map.
To embed the map, add embeddy@appspot.com to the list of participants at the top of the wave. A frame opens around the map showing various parameters which can be changed to show how the map should be displayed.
Two code windows show the code which can be pasted into a webpage to show the Google Map Wave, one snippet just before the body> tag to obtain the map data, the other where ever the map display is desired.
